<title>Tanjung Harapan Port Klang, Selangor</title>
<description>While waiting for hubby fishing at Sea Lion Fishing Pond in Port Klang I decided to kill the time sauntering Tanjung Harapan beach the then Tanjung Gila...(bet you know why the name changed!! LOL ). I really had no idea what to shoot and there was no specific theme in my mind. I parked the pickup by the roadside when I saw a lady sweeping. I intoduced mysef as a hobbyist photographer and she intoduced herself as Amelia. I asked Amelia how to get to the jetty which I saw from a distance. She told me that the jetty belongs to her brother Harun and she walked me to a narrow entrance that led to a wooden hut. Again I introduced myself as hobbyist photographer to Harun :-D and sought his permission photographing from the jetty. I was really happy when told that I could photograph without any charge..but jokingly he told me to give him one or two copies of the photos to him (according to him, he&#x27;ll charge only for tv/film shooting). When asked when he started &#x22;commercialised&#x22; his jetty to the anglers and how much does he charge anglers to fish from his jetty, in short Harun answered &#x22;baru 25 tahun..5 ringgit untuk 10 jam&#x22; $-).WOW that&#x27;s really cheap comparing to RM15 per hour in pond number 5 of sea lion.

Without much ado, I walked on the jetty carefully and slowly and just before photographing I called up hubby informing my location (anything could have happened, at least he&#x27;ll know where to search for his wife LOL ). I took few shots from/ on the jetty.A man in blue tshirt approached and asked &#x22;akak wartawan ke?&#x22; :-D There on we started to talk from one topic to another. ;-) Din was very friendly he even suggested few locations to shoot, he shared his vast working experience in an insurance company, he talked on so many things that later I discovered I had talked much and less photographing!! :P

When I was about to leave the jetty, I saw Harun sleeping on a bench. I asked a woman whom I believed either his relative or his wife to convey my gratitude for allowing me to make use of his jetty photographing. While I was on my way to the pickup by the roadside, again I saw Amelia still sweeping dried leaves :P I shook hand with Amelia and left.

The sun was almost sets. I drove a little bit further up and reparked. There were many people by the beach either enjoying the evening with families or only god knows with whom...(even young couple sometimes married ma..so I don&#x27;t want to simply guess lo... LOL LOL ... aiyaaaa you know I know one enough ma...) :P I took out my tripod (second/third time since I acquired it I supppose LOL ) Screwed the camera on it and waited few minutes for the golden hour or whatever you call it....the product?so so lah.. :-(

Harun&#x27;s Jetty from a distance

Narrow path to the jetty

From the jetty to the entrance

Call it sunset, golden hour or whatever..bottom line is the sun is moving elsewhere after a hard day&#x27;s duty shining the east part of the world :-D

<title>Get closer to the subject</title>
<description>They call it macro photography, whatever the idea is to get closer to the subject. One of the most frustrating aspects of macro photography is the lack of &#x27;depth of field&#x27;. The depth of field is the area of the photo from far to near that&#x27;s in sharp focus. At high magnification, the DOF is significantly reduced. Sometimes it&#x27;s better to use less magnification (simply don&#x27;t zoom in as much) and then crop the image.

This first photo was taken using &#x22;one hand&#x22;..why??you may guess ..

..this one??well I wasn&#x27;t really bother on the DOF..simply shoot one...ha haha..again you may guess where the focus was..

<title>Ray of Light</title>
<description>This morning I diverted from my earlier plan (as usual) . The camera was with the 70-200 not the 16-35 which is the most suitable lens for capturing ray of light. Whatever, with that 70-200 I tried to photograph the ray of light without really understand the proper setting of the camera. It was on ISO 100, f 10-11. Some said when the sun is still low or hazy day, is the best time to photograph the moment. The ray will come out nicely in your picture when you underexpose your photos just a little bit - 1 stop or 2 at the most... since this was my first attempt I should say I&#x27;m quite satisfied with the outcome :P :P

<title>Comic Pictures: Weera, Lala and Luluq</title>
<description>This is a short comic pictures about a poult and two kittens. Two poults were brought all the way from a day market in Temerloh, Pahang, but only one survived. The two kittens are actually &#x201C;children&#x201D; of a stray cat. and believed born out of a wedlog!! (some believed BeeWee fathered them) . Adeeba named the poult Weera and the maid named the kittens as Lala and Luluq Three of these pet animals grew together in a storeroom and were let out when they are big enough to see the outside world.

One morning the three pet animals seen to be playing at the backyard. Weera, who had disappeared for two weeks seemed to be quite tension with the existence of Lala and Luluq. Being kittens they are quite playful and their behaviour irritated Weera.

Read on..it&#x2019;s in manglish and there are 38 images altogether.

Btw, remember Sandiwara?it&#x27;s comic pictures by me too..you may view here

<title>The Shah Alam National Botanical Park Revisited</title>
<description>Yesterday Zul/badang, Askme and I revisited the Shah Alam National Botanical Park the then Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam. Askme last visited the park sometimes last August (stand corrected) and as according to Zul was over than 10 years since he last visited. For me?? All I can remember the last visit was when the children were below my shoulder in heights. LOL

The 1,200 hectares park is planned to be an education-oriented centre which has agriculture-based entertainment besides a national botanical park. It is an arboretum of all sorts of plants. Our initial purpose to the park was macro photographing. But I think I was the one (as usual) started deviating. :P Whatever it was a very fun outing especially when you were with your self-proclaimed &#x22;bodyguard and Camera Accss. Advisor&#x22;..they are none other than Zul and Askme respectively. LOL LOL

<title>Basics of Rock Climbing</title>
<description>A small group of CONSIST College students went for a basic course on rock climbing last Saturday the 17th of May at Kg Wira Damai Batu Caves, K.L. It was led by Mr. Azlee, a CONSIST staff and my gratitude to him for allowing me to observe and capture a very informative and interesting moments of rock climbing.

It started with a briefing by Mr. Azmin a trained rock climbing instructor and a network engineer by profession. Being a trained instructor Mr. Azmin stressed the importance of safety and also had shown the basic equipments for rock climbing. The gear needed for this introduction to climbing is: rock shoes, harness, dynamic rope, carabiners, a belay device, chalk bag and many more which I cant remember :P

Top-roping is the best way to begin understanding climbing technique. The basic idea of a&#x22;top-rope&#x22; is to have a secure anchor fixed at the top of a section of rock. The rope runs from the climber up through the anchor and back down to the belayer (the person securing the rope in case the climber falls). The first top roping was done by Mr. Razali and the belayer was Ms. Aishah. The second top roping was done by Mr.Azmin himself and the belayer was Mr Azlee. Later of the day another &#x22;super&#x22; lady (my apology I forgot to ask her name) had top roped the third one which was much higher and Mr. Azlee once again was the belayer.

The students seemed to have enjoyed themselves as most of them succeeded in climbing the more than 25meters rock. But my son Hadee was frustrated as he didn&#x27;t manage to climb even though he tried his best. He hurt his fingers and his once disclocated arm had cramped. Mr. Azmin didn&#x27;t stop motivating him and had given more tips on how to rock climb. Well, rock climbing is just not his cup of tea I guess
  LOL

<title>FMDC Beginners&#x27; outing: Lake Garden, K.L.</title>
<description>As planned, the FMDC Beginners&#x27; outing was successfully held on 30 March 2008 at the K.L.&#x27;s Lake Garden also known as Tasek Perdana. Threre were almost 40 participants (mostly from the central region) attended the outing. It started with a brief note from Aji, the FMDC President and later breaking the ice session. Buttet, the organiser together with his team had divided participants into three sub-groups.The participants were guided throughout the session by pokcik, zzoux, aminorazmi to name a few of those who had vast experience in photography. At the end of the session, En.Kamarulzaman of MMU had given a talk/tips on basic photography.

I didn&#x27;t join any of the sub-groups though, as I was on &#x22;macro photography fever&#x22; and had planned to practice on the newly acquired lens. :P Well, I really have to have the patience if seriously into macro photography, if not I might as well totally forget about dreaming having really good macro images. :-S

I take this opportunity to extend my gratitude to the organiser led by Butet. for the job well done and to the &#x22;sifoos&#x22; as well as the speaker for ex parting their photography knowledge. To the participants..BRAVO!!great company indeed :P ..and last but not least to the sniper...hi hi hi.. LOL .wait aaa Ridwan..wait...one fine day..you&#x27;ll be sniped!! :-S
