day in and day out my son Hadee is already a young man.He turns seventeen today. There's no birthday cake for the birthday boy as last night we'd co-celebrated his birthday together with his uncles, aunties, cousins, et al at home during a"surprise" pre-Ramadhan family gathering. We started with a maghrib prayer, a doa and takzirah by an uztaz especially invited for the occasion. There were roughly around 30 family members present (about three quarter) and I'm really glad that mom was happy for the unexpected "visitors" and the occasion organised.
This morning we started Hadee's big day, by attending hubby's company sports carnival in Bangi. I managed to capture few shots of the birthday boy on the track while watching the football match. Later we had a toothsome lunch at Perantau restaurant in Sg merab. We had gulai kawah, grilled ayam kampung, ice kacang and len chee kang..we plan to have lunch there again one day since the grilled ayam kampung really finger lickin good
After a short rest at home, right after maghrib we had dinner at the secret recipe. Initially hubby wanted to have dinner at his fav.restaurant viz the Kelana seafood, but I suggested to go to the secret recipe, the children's fav place..instead. After dinner we had to push three shopping carts at TESCO for the monthly groceries' stock at home ...
The fourth (last group photo) was more relax..everyone seemed in jovial mood..

Late insertion!!
Well, it's not a planned day. On 22 August 2006, we (my son, daughter and I) actually just wanted to sauter around KL city centre boarding the LRT from Kelana Jaya LRT station. Our first plan was just to have lunch at KL Sentral and that's all. But we decided to go to the Dataran Merdeka there after. We took the lrt from KL sentral to Masjid jamek lrt station after a quick but delicious lunch and walked to the Dataran Merdeka (DM). In DM we realised there's this healthy eating carnival ongoing. We were unfortunate as the carnival was almost came to an end but were not too late to receive the "free" food provided/distributed by the Ministry of Health. Initially, we were reluctant to accept the packed food but the organiser persistantly had asked us to take. On the way back to the Masjid Jamek lrt station, we handed the packed food to the labourers working in a construction site nearby the station. They really appreciated it and we felt food distributed free by Ministry of Health were "worthy"....

My daughter and I decided to join other members of FMDC for the above trip just hours before the bus departed from Ampang Park for Trengganu. We were sent off by beloved daddy and brother of Adeeba. It was a very tiring but enjoyable trip. The last time I joined such trip was ages ago during my teenage and happy to record it was the first long journey trip by bus for my daughter Adeeba.
Amongst activities organised were the sunset and sunrise photo shoot at Floating Mosque and Merang respectively, shopping at the infamous Pasar Payang, Visit to the Old Folks Home in Bukit Payong and a short trip to Kapas Island where everyone seemed to enjoy most
My daughter and I wish to thank the organiser especially the FMDC members in Trengganu, for the hospitality extended to us..a big big thank you to Salman aka Heromak and Su and not forgetting my sweet and lovely Salma for bearing with our "demand" sort of...
Kapas Island here we are...
Hey Look!!we finally found our "long lost" ayah...
"drifted" and "reunited" with the wife and daughter finally...

Short vacation
We (hubby and I) were too busy with work to plan for a proper place for a short vacation during recent school holidays that ended yesterday. It was Adeeba's sugestion to visit Genting Highland which we found quite a good idea. The weather in Genting was fine, intermittenly with sunlight and cloudy/misty. There were quite a number of tourists from abroad especially from the Arab countries, but still considered not too crowded when compared to the last time we visited the place. We spent most of our times at the outdoor Theme Park... a park which only Adeeba alone enjoyed!!

Mountain Biking Carnival and National Paintball League
There were two events held at Taman Lembah Kiara and Padang Merbuk for two days since yesterday viz the Mountain Biking Carnival and National Paintball League respectively. The first event was made known/announced at the FMDC’s forum while the second event was accidentally discovered by me while on the way home from my quran class yesterday. Though the events were organized during the weekend, I had to divide my time between events and my quran class. I have decided to just drop by at the first event in the morning and visit the second while on the way home from the class. I met abahwafi at the Mountain Biking Carnival but regretted that I could not join him at the allocated area for the photographers since I had planned just a short visit and had to rush to the city centre for my quran class there after. Bet abahwafi have better images so do visit his fp at http://abahwafi.fotopages.com . Images captured by me at the first event were mostly not the biking event but more of the happening around the carnival area. (as usual). At the paintball league, I tried to capture as much “actions” as possible but sad to say I have a lot more to learn on capturing movements/actions. The 90-200 lens wasn’t good enough and viewing at the images captured using that lens made the urge to acquire the 70-200 f2.8 IS L lens at earliest possible more.
There are quite a number of images uploaded here, the first 15 are images from Kiara and the second 14 from Merbuk...
Different gears for different events

I'd put some effort on the photo captured for my submission to the FMDC's POTM entitled Black and white. Initially, I had simply submitted Jack, Adeeba's scattered cushion (retrieved). Somehow, Nazley's aka Bubba ( http://nazley.fotopages.com ) black and white image had inspired me to really work on the image for the submission and not to simply capture and submit. I was given some tips fr Bubba (thanks Bubba)as I've more or less sounded openly in the forum what I had in mind. The victim was a black and white stray kitten. On my first day searching for the kitten, was in vain...it had dissappeared and nowhere to be found/seen. This evening I was fortunate, the kitten came and I quickly grabbed my camera and with the maid's assistance I managed to capture few black and white images (and some in color too). On discovering that the mother of the kitten had left him behind unattended, we decided to adopt him and call him by the name of BeeWee in line with the FMDC's POTM theme.
Though below image is not at par with Bubba's, I'm proud of it as I had put some effort and not to simply shoot and submit (simply hantam as I used to say)
OUCH!!..one of my legs stuck!!

Stale news of Adeeba and her Uncle Man
Was she genuinely smiling??

Uncle Man quite well known when comes to ISO n such

Well..look what I have found in my long lost usb...two scanned images of Adeeba Fauzallah Hussin, my daughter and Rahman Ahmad Zubir, my brother. What both of them have in common?? No big deal some might say, say what you like, to us in the family it's something to be proud of . They were featured in KOSMO and Berita Harian respectively, two local daily newspapers.
I have decided to upload both scanned images since I have nothing really interesting to be shown off here

Why mom frowned and looked sad??
Mak, terima kasih kerna menjaga solat cucu2 dan anak2 semua...
I captured this photo around 7.30 pm today. My 80 years old mom looked sad, wasn't she?She was actually uttering something to my son Hadee, her too molly codled grandson.Guess what was she mumbled about??Well, to Hadee my son, if you ever get to read mom's fp esp this page, bear in mind...Your grandma aka "nenek" loves you so much, she wanted you to be a true muslim, she does not wants you to dilly delay performing your prayer. Son, I want you to know and to remember why nenek was frowning, why nenek was so sad when I was capturing this image..did you remember why, my son?Just in case you can't remember what she had said to you..here it is once again.."Orang suruh sembahyang, dia minum duluuuuuuu....suka lewat-lewatkan sembahyang.."Do you remember it now??Remember ??she shouted at you, to immediately perform your maghrib prayer..and what did you do?You took your own sweet time right??
Terima kasih mak...kerana menjaga solat anak-anak dan cucu-cucu mak semua...kami doakan kesejahteraan buat emak dan semuga Allah swt merahmati emak sentiasa, Aamiin.
