Yesterday, hubby and I went to Sungai Buluh looking to put down a new lawn quickly to cover unsightly dirt area infront of our house that had been affected by the ongoing road widening project. There are quite a number of grass farmers in Sungai Buloh but we went to the farm that we're quite used to visit. There are various types of grass but the one we're looking for is the pearl grass. We had planted the Philipines grass before, but changed to pearl type as the later is easier to manage, sort of maintenance free .

While hubby negotiating for the price, I took the opportunity to "interview" the workers viz Asri and Yani, both from Java, Indonesia. They both been working in the grass farm for the pass three years. According to them it takes roughly a month for the seed to grow and can be fully harvested after just three months. hhmmm frankly it's not really a tough job I should say, since I had tried helping out my maid trans-planting grass before

Again? Well I don't mind..this is the type of photography that I love most...I joined a group of roughly 30 FMDC’s street shooters yesterday. It was coordinated by Saiful Rizal (SR) and Mr. Zainal Halim was the guest speaker. We had assembled at the Jalan Melayu /Jln Masjid India entrance. The briefing by Mr. Zainal was held in Dataran Merdeka from thereon street shooters were advised to walk in pair for the mission. Abahwafi and I had excused ourselves and were on “lone ranger” as we had to leave early from the shooting location.

Since I had to leave early, I had planned not to go very far from the Jalan Masjid India LRT station. A group of people queuing for the free distribution of special porridge also known as “bubur lambuk” had attracted my attention. I squeezed myself and entered the area where the porridge was being distributed. I met Mr. Mohd Yunus the manager who manages the free distribution porridge to the people for 30 days during Ramadhan. According to him the fund received from various companies and organizations is used to prepare 12 big containers of porridge everyday. The cost of preparation in a day is RM1,400 and Sadakatullah is the person entrusted to handle the preparation and distribution of the porridge.

I spent almost 45 minutes watching the free porridge distribution and moved elsewhere when just realized it was almost 5.30 pm. The next target was a trader selling perfumes. Izhar, the perfumes trader has been in business for the past 3 years. I chatted with him while waiting for the customers and came to know some sought after perfumes by many muslims such as seribu bunga, bunga tanjung, bunga melor, madina, kelambu kaabah etc…believe it or not I ended up purchasing a bottle of madina perfume!!

As I was in a hurry to catch the lrt, the rest of the street shots were successfully captured by just throwing my sweetest smiles to the traders and showing my 16-35 lens…

Quote:
It is forbidden to work on Fridays after the call for the prayer was announced because Allah says in surat Al-Jumu’ah, (verse 9), what can be translated as, "When the call is proclaimed to prayer on Friday hasten earnestly to the remembrance of Allah, and leave off business

It is forbidden to talk during the Khutbah

Friday prayer must be held in mass and it cannot be offered individually

It is obligatory for every Mukallaf free man, who is not a traveler and blind, old and very weak, to participate in Friday prayer, provided that his distance from the place of offering prayer is not more than two Farsakhs

I seek refuge in God from Satan the rejected
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Prayer carries us half way to Allah, fasting brings us to the door of His palace and alms deeds (Sadakah) cause us to enter.

Office Workers in KL City Centre During Lunch Break

Initially I had planned to shoot the seasonal traders in Jalan Masjid India area on the first day of the Ramadhan...but the moment I "touched down" from the LRT Masjid Jamek station, the weather seemed to be cloudy and hence had diverted the theme to the one that I had been procastinating to shoot viz the office workers during lunch break. It's a short mission which I managed to accomplished within 25 minutes... well you don't have to worry about the outcome, as usual it's of my own set of standard!!..I shoot what I like and feel like shooting .. I think I should have my own identity from now on..shalI I call my style of photographing as Zain's BlasTography??..I beg your pardon??the meaning??..Zain blasah photography ma...

The school break just started, and since early morning my daughter Adeeba had been pestering me to take her “jalan-jalan”. Despite being told that her brother has got doctor’s appointment, that did not deter her from kept on begging. Right after Hadee's appointment we went home but like it or not, for her sake after the zohor prayer I had asked her to get ready as her brother had offered to drive for the “jalan-jalan”. When Hadee asked for the destination, I had simply directed him to take Jalan Tun Perak heading Sungai Wang. As we arrived at the concourse of the complex the Comics Carnival organized by Gempak Starz was ongoing. Adeeba was so excited...but what about her brother hadee??When I asked him to have a closer look at the carnival ..in short he answered..”setiap orang ada cita rasa yang berbeza”...blueeeeekss
